基因组稳定性实验室主要研究病原微生物和人类基因组维持基因组稳定性的相关机制和疾病,表观遗传学与基因突变的相互关系,以及肿瘤放化疗致敏机制的发现和开发。目前在乙肝病毒相关肝癌发病机制和治疗领域有突破性进展。

Professor Cong Liu,principleinvestigator of the Genome Stability Unit, West China Second Universityhospital, Sichuan University. He obtained his PhD from Sussex University andcompleted the postdoctoral training with Profs Tony Carr and Penny Jeggo in theMRC/Genome Damage and Stability Centre, United Kingdom. By using various modelsystems (transgenic mice and fission yeast) and clinical materials, his labexpands the research from genetics to cancer biology to investigate the functionof DNA damage responses in cancer prevention and therapy. Their works have shedlights on pivotal roles of various biological processes including chromatinremodeling, ubiquitination and DDR in the carcinogenesis of hepatocarcinoma andbreast/ovary cancers.
